On Parakram Diwas, Netaji was remembered for his “extraordinary courage and patriotism.”

On ParaKram Diwas, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is on the final leg of his party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir, began his homage by quoting a few lines from “Qadam Qadam Badhaye Ja,” a song used during Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army’s regimental quick march.

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other top leaders of the country wished freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose Diwas. Netaji remembered for his “patriotism” and “unparalleled contribution to India’s history,” according to the leaders.

“On Diwas, we pay homage to one of the greatest sons of Bharat Mata, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Netaji epitomizes exceptional courage and patriotism. Under his leadership, millions joined the struggle for India’s freedom. Indians will remain forever indebted to him,” tweeted President Murmu.

“Today, on Parakram Diwas, I pay homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and recall his unparalleled contribution to India’s history,” Prime Minister Modi tweeted, recalling Bose’s resistance to colonial rule. He will  remembered for his staunch opposition to colonial rule. We deeply influenced by his ideas and are working to realize his vision for India.”

 

Paying tributes to the freedom fighter, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief in a tweet in Hindi said, “Millions of salutes to the great freedom fighter and inspiration Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose ji on his birth anniversary, who organized the youth of the country in the freedom struggle and created new energy in the freedom struggle.”
