BMW India has launched the M340i 50 Jahre M Edition at a price of Rs 68.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The M340i will manufactured at the BMW Group plant in Chennai. Bookings for this limited-run special edition can done through BMW’s online portal. This special edition has launched as a part of celebration to mark 50 years of BMW’s M Performance division. Let us tell 5 big things about it.
Exterior.
The M340i 50 Jahre M Edition gets a high-gloss black kidney grille. It gets a lot of jet-black elements, including window surrounds. It gets a lot on offer including a mirror cap and 19-inch M light-alloy wheels.
Carbon Pack.
Customers have two choices of accessory packs for the M340i 50 Jahre M Edition. The first is a carbon pack, which gets interior trim, M performance steering wheel, selector gear knob and rear spoiler in carbon fiber.

Motorsport Pack.
At the same time, there is another motorsport pack. The Motorsport pack includes M Performance steering wheel and Alcantara gear selector. There is also a matte black rear spoiler to enhance its performance.
Engine.
This special edition is powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with xDrive system as standard. It generates 381 bhp power and 500 Nm peak torque.
Exclusive exterior colours.
The M340i 50 Jahre M Edition will be available in two BMW individual color options – Dravit Gray and Tanzanite Blue.
