If you too have been waiting to get a Pulsar bike, then your wait is over as Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the updated version of the Pulsar N160 this month. After the biggest Pulsar, F250 and N250, Bajaj is preparing the all new Pulsar N160 and its launch is expected in the second fortnight of June. The new N160 bike from Pulsar is very similar to the N250. Similar features include projector LED headlight and sleek eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs. A significant portion of the body panels resemble those of the N250. Similarities are also evident in the seat design, trapezoidal rear view mirror, grab rail, swingarm, tail section and tail light.
What is different in the new Pulsar N160 bike.
Unlike the Pulsar N250, which gets an upside-down exhaust, the new N160 will get an underbelly exhaust. Pulsar NS160 is powered by a 160.3 cc motor. This bike will generate maximum power of 17.2 PS at 9,000 rpm and peak torque of 14.6 Nm at 7,250 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Pulsar N160 will continue to offered with a kick starter, as is available with the current model. The braking system consists of single channel ABS with integrated disc brakes at both the ends.
What will be the price
The new Pulsar N160 may see a slight jump in prices. The current model is available at a starting price of Rs 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The new Pulsar N160 will still be the most affordable in the segment.
