South Korea’s leading automaker Hyundai is the latest car maker to increase the prices of its vehicles in India. Rising costs are forcing automakers to increase the prices of their models. Vehicle prices continue to rise due to global shortages of semiconductor chips and declining production levels.
Hyundai cars become expensive.
Hyundai has increased the prices of its SUV lineup in India which includes Venue, Creta and Alcazar. All the three SUVs are based on a modified version of the same platform that caters to the needs of different categories. The smallest subcompact SUV in Hyundai’s lineup is the Venue while the 7-seater version of the mid-size Creta is the Alcazar.
Prices of Hyundai Venue.
The prices of entry-level SUV Hyundai Venue have increased by up to Rs 12,100. Prices of this subcompact SUV from Hyundai start at Rs 7.11 lakh and go up to Rs 11.84 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Except for the SX diesel variant of the Venue, the prices of all the variants have hiked. The base E variant of the Venue has seen the highest price hike of 1.72 percent.
The prices of all the petrol variants of this sub-compact SUV have increased by Rs 12,000 uniformly. While the diesel variant has increased by Rs 12,100. It is offered in eight trims – E, S, S+, S(O), SX, SX(O) Executive, SX+ and SX(O).

Hyundai Creta prices.
Talking about Hyundai’s mid-size SUV Hyundai Creta. The price of this compact C-segment SUV has increased by up to Rs 21,100. The prices of the base E variant and the top-spec SX(O) variant have been hiked by Rs 21,000 and Rs 21,100, respectively.
The prices of the rest of the petrol-powered variants have hiked by Rs 18,100 similarly. Prices of the petrol variants of Creta start at Rs 10.44 Lakh and go up to Rs 18.15 Lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
While the diesel variant of the compact SUV is now priced in the range of Rs 10.91 lakh to Rs 18.18 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). The base E variant with the base diesel engine of Ceta has seen the highest price hike of Rs 21,100. Prices for the rest of the lineup have hiked by Rs 18,100.
Prices of Hyundai Alcazar.
Hyundai’s three-row mid-size SUV Alcazar is now priced between Rs 16.44 lakh to Rs 19.95 lakh for the petrol engine and Rs 16.85 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh for the diesel engine. All prices are ex-showroom. Except for the top-spec Signature trim of the diesel-powered Alcazar, the prices of all variants of the 7-seater SUV have hiked by Rs 10,000 uniformly.
