On March 11, 2023, Satish Kaushik, a famous Indian actor, and director passed away at the age of 66 due to a heart attack.
Details of Kaushik’s Death:
Kaushik was staying at a farmhouse in Bijwasan, Delhi, when he fell ill and was rushed to a hospital in Gurugram. However, he did not survive despite medical efforts. Police sources say that preliminary investigations suggest that his death was due to natural causes, and nothing suspicious has been found. Further examinations are underway to determine the exact cause and time of his passing.
Kaushik’s Last Moments:
Kaushik had come to Delhi to celebrate Holi with his friends after attending a party at Javed Akhtar-Shabana Azmi’s Mumbai home the day before. Although the police are still collecting information about his whereabouts during the day, it is known that he fell ill while at the farmhouse in Bijwasan. His manager, Santosh Rai, was one of the people who rushed him to the hospital after he complained of breathlessness around 12:10 am.

He was known for his impeccable comic timing and played some memorable characters, including Ashok in the 1983 cult classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, which he also wrote dialogues for. Another one of his unforgettable performances was as ‘Calendar,’ the cook in the Anil Kapoor-Sridevi Mr. India. His contribution to the Indian film industry will always be remembered.
