Ujjain is about to make world record once more. The preparations for lighting 21 lakh diyas (lamps) simultaneously in Ujjain, Shiva’s hometown, have been completed.

On Saturday evening, the lamps at Moksha Dayini Kshipra’s six ghats will be rationed with 50k liters of oil. Over 18 lakh diyas will be lit on the banks of the river Kshipra, with the remainder scattered throughout the city.

Ujjain has made plans to break the record of lighting 15.50 lakh lamps in Ayodhya at the same time.

More than 20,000 volunteers have given their all to light the lamp. From Narsing Ghat to Sunehri Ghat, and from Bhukhi Mata Ghat to Reti Ghat, lamps have been decorated in blocks.

After filling them with oil, a wick was attached to them. Within ten minutes, all of the lamps will be lit.

To register the record, the Guinness World Records team camped in Ujjain and filmed the lamps deposited on the ghats. On Saturday, the team will also do videography and award certificates based on the number of lamps.

The residents of Avantika are also eager to make a record and have made preparations to illuminate their homes and establishments with lamps. Apart from the ghats, lamps will be lit in the major temples of Ujjain.

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself will participate in the Shiv Jyoti Arpanam program. Ujjain is immersed in the festive atmosphere.

PANDA SAMITI OPPOSES ARRANGEMENTS

Hundreds of devotees were unable to take Kshipra Snan at Ramghat on Friday due to the lighting of diyas for the Shiv Jyoti Arpanam program. Not only that, but they were not even permitted to visit the ghat.

Ramghat resident Rajesh Trivedi has spoken out against this. Shiv Jyoti Arpanam will be held on Saturday, and diyas have been installed on blocks at Bhukimata Ghat, Narsing Ghat, Ramghat, Dutt Akhara Ghat, Sunehri Ghat, and Reti Ghat in preparation. Because blocks should not be chosen at random, the common man’s visit to the ghat has been prohibited.

They must return because a large number of people have come for Mahashivratri and the bath. People are having difficulties in such a situation.
