Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a rousing welcome at Karnataka’s Hubballi where he will inaugurate the 26th National Youth Festival on Thursday evening.

In a viral video, a man attempted to garland PM Modi while he was waving at people on the road from his convoy, and the man ran near the PM, breaching his security cover. Both PM’s security forces and local police officers dragged the man away immediately.

ANI tweeted the video, writing, “A young man breaches PM Modi’s security cover to give him a garland, but  pulled away by security personnel during his roadshow in Hubballi.”

The video of the incident shared widely on social media and people even expressed anger on the breach in the security of the Prime Minister.

Some even pointed out that after the assassination of former Japanese President Shinzo Abe, security agencies should be more careful while dealing with the crowd.

As January 12 is National Youth Day, PM Modi will address the nation’s youth at this youth festival. This youth festival expected to attract over 7,500 delegates from across the country.

The theme of this year’s National Youth Festival is ‘Viksit Yuva – Viksit Bharat’ and it will have discussions surrounding five topics covering diverse areas of work, industry, and innovation, climate change, health and peace.

A special Yogathan will also conducted which expected to mobilize around 10 lakh people to do Yoga and it is said to a key attraction in this 5-day youth fest.
