Deepika Padukone creates history; becomes the first Indian to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy


Making India proud yet again, Deepika Padukone became the first Indian to unveil the FIFA trophy. 

The superstar and India’s biggest global ambassador escorted the FIFA World Cup trophy in a specially commissioned truck and unveiled it at the Lusail Stadium.

Weighing 6.175 kgs and made of 18-carat gold and malachite, the trophy unveiling is a very important part of the pre-match ceremonies, thus making it a global moment for India, thanks to Deepika Padukone as she walked in with FIFA legend and former Spanish Professional Footballer, Iker Casillas Fernandez.

Looking breathtaking in a white shirt, brown overcoat, black belt, and her billion-dollar smile, the superstar had millions of cameras flashing at the jam-packed bustling stadium.

Through the course of her career, superstar Deepika Padukone has given her home country India many reasons to be proud of. 

The actor, producer, entrepreneur, and mental health advocate with this development adds yet another highlight to her global achievements.

After representing India at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival where she turned jury member, to being the only Indian in the list of the World’s Top 10 most beautiful women according to the ‘Golden Ratio of Beauty’, Deepika Padukone has an unparalleled global appeal that only grows bigger with every passing day.
