Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal appeals to the PM to consider including photos of Lakshmi and Ganesha on currency notes


Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to consider including photos of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi on the Indian currency.

He said that new notes should have a picture of Mahatma Gandhi on one side and of the two deities on the other.


By saying that Indonesia is a Muslim country. There are 85% Muslims & 2% Hindus. But they have pictures of Shri Ganesha on their currency.


I appeal to the central govt & the PM to put the photo of Shri Ganesh Ji & Shri Laxmi Ji, along with Gandhi Ji’s photo on our fresh currency notes, says Delhi CM & AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal.
