However, the film’s scriptwriters have revealed that the character was slated to appear in a Marvel movie years ago.

In a recent interview, screenwriter Michael Waldron, who wrote both Doctor Strange films, said he originally planned to introduce the character in the first one in 2016. and wrote a post-credits scene for Doctor Strange introducing his headquarters, Baxterville. A stretchy hand entered the frame to write the tag and play it back.
The Fantastic Four characters were owned by Fox, not Marvel, so they weren’t included in the MCU. . That probably prevented the character from appearing in the first Doctor Strange. The studio is developing a Fantastic Four movie, but no casting details have been announced.
