Discussing her fortune in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law lead Tatiana Maslany says she likes Jennifer Walters to team up with Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. Next week, Marvel Studios’ most delinquent Disney+ series will see Maslany debut as the recently gamma-radiated cousin of Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/The Hulk. The shifting permitted humor observes Jennifer as she works to offset life as a single, 30-something lawyer and being extremely green.
Following her Oscar-nominated part in Little Women, Florence Pugh earned her MCU debut in last year’s Black Widow. While performing as Scarlett Johansson’s swan song, the film presented Pugh as Natasha Romanoff’s wise-cracking (surrogate) sister and fellow Red Room learner Yelena. After the post-credits set saw Valentina Allegra de Fontaine send Yelena after Clint Barton, Pugh emerged alongside Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld in Disney+’s Hawkeye in which she delighted audiences with her relationship for macaroni and cheese. As one of the MCU’s most charismatic new personalities, lovers can’t wait to see who Yelena interacts with subsequent.
In a recent discussion on The Jess Cagle Podcast with Julia Cunningham, Maslany was concerned about her fate in the MCU after She-Hulk. When questioned what personalities she could pair up with, Maslany admitted she’d enjoy seeing buddy humor featuring Yelena and Jennifer. I love Florence Pugh as a performer, so I want to perform with her. I think that duo would be bizarre, but I think that kinda would be fun… It’s like a companion comedy. Us in a car.
Despite recreating a supportive personality in Black Widow and Hawkeye, Pugh delivered some of the most amusing and most touching moments in both projects she’s on everyone’s radar not simply in the MCU, but in Hollywood too. Tom Holland once revealed that he even consulted a Spider-Man/Yelena crossover idea with Pugh, who has said she’d enjoy seeing her personality team up with Scarlet Witch and Loki. Many lovers want Pugh and Steinfeld’s chemistry to persist in a spin-off from Hawkeye—which apparently handed Clint’s titular arsonist to Kate Bishop.
