Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar N160 Edition in its popular Pulsar range. The company has fixed the ex-showroom price of Bajaj Pulsar N160 in the Indian market at Rs 1,25,824. This bike price is ex-showroom in Kolkata. This is the third variant in the Pulsar lineup after the Pulsar N250 and Pulsar F250. The design of the Pulsar N160 is similar to that of the N250. But the latest model gets a smaller engine. The motorcycle gets LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights.
Engine and power.
The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is powered by a 164.8cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine generates power of 16 PS and peak torque of 14.65 Nm. For transmission, 5-speed gearbox units have been given. The power output of the Pulsar N160 has dropped by 1.2hp as against the 160cc, 4 valve engine of the previously sold Pulsar NS160. However, the torque output is equal.

The option of single channel and double channel ABS has been given in Bajaj Pulsar N160. Its digital instrument cluster is also similar to that of the Pulsar N250, with a smaller windscreen at the front. Like the N250, the Pulsar N160 also gets twin vertical LED tail lamps, split grab rails and Y-shaped alloy wheels. However, the 160cc model also gets an exhaust, which makes it look sleeker than its counterpart. It comes equipped with a USB charging port, 14-litre fuel tank and Digi-Analog instrument cluster that shows gear position, clock, mileage and range.
Braking and Suspension.
For suspension, the latest bike from the Pulsar series uses a 37 mm telescopic fork up front and a mono-shock. The bike gets 17-inch wheels with 100/80-17 front tyres and 130/70-17 rear tyres. For braking, there is a 300mm front disc at the back along with a 230mm rear disc on the dual-channel ABS version. There is also a single-channel ABS version that comes with a smaller 280 mm front disc brake but the same 230 mm rear disc. While the single-channel version weighs 152 kg, the dual-channel ABS version weighs 154 kg.
