PM Narendra Modi released the book ‘Indian Constitution : The Untold Story’ by senior journalist Ram Bahadur Rai. The book was release on the day (June 18) when the then President Rajendra Prasad gave his assent to the first amendment to the Constitution.

The program was organized on Saturday at Dr. Ambedkar International Center in Delhi.

Prime Minister Modi was virtually involved in this. Apart from them, Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh were present in the program.

India is a free thinking country- PM

The PM said, ‘I am sure that this book will give a new thinking to the youth of the country with untold chapters from the history of independence and our constitution.’ PM Modi said that India has been a free-thinking country by nature. Root nature is not part of our core. He said, ‘From the formation of the Constituent Assembly to its debate, from the adoption of the Constitution to its present phase, we have consistently seen a dynamic and progressive Constitution. We have argued, raised questions, debated and made changes.

PM Modi said that our constitution came before the people with the vision of an independent India, which can fulfill the dreams of many generations of the country. He further said that during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, stories of many forgotten freedom fighters and incidents related to the freedom struggle of India are coming to the fore.
