Skoda Auto has launched the much awaited Monte Carlo edition of its Kushaq SUV in the Indian market. The company has fixed the starting ex-showroom price of Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition at Rs 15.99 lakh. To give it a different look from the regular Kushak, the SUV gets blacked-out exterior elements, dual-tone cabin and an all-new digital instrument cluster similar to the Slavia sedan. It is offered with BS6 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engines from the current line-up of the Kushaq.
Skoda launched its compact SUV Kushak in the Indian market in June 2021. This SUV has received tremendous response from the car buyers. It is based on the MQB-AO-IN platform, also used in the VW Taigun and koda Slavia sedans. To celebrate the success of the India 2.0 project, Skoda has launched the new Kushak Monte Carlo Edition in the Indian market.

What were the changes in the look of the new edition?
The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition looks sportier than the regular model. This edition has offered exclusively in two color options – Tornado Red and Candy White. The SUV gets the traditional butter-fly pattern multi-slat grille, which now gets glossy black surround instead of chrome surround. On the sides of the grille are crystalline LED headlamps with DRLs. The SUV also gets a glossy black front diffuser.
Monte Carlo badging has given on the front fender of the SUV. The SUV gets new 17-inch dual-tone Vega alloy wheels. The vehicle gets sporty red brake calipers on the front wheels of the 1.5-litre TSI version, while the 1.0-litre version gets black brake calipers. It gets black roof with black ORVMs and chrome door handles and matte black roof rails. At the rear, the Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition gets a dual-tone spoiler, and a glossy black rear diffuser and trunk garnish. The Skoda and Kushk lettering is now in Gloss Black.
Interior and features.
Coming to the cabin and interior, the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition gets dual-tone upholstery in red and black colours. It gets dual-tone ventilate front leather seats with Monte Carlo Inscription. Red stitching has also given in the door armrest and center armrest. For a sporty feel, red ambient lighting and aluminum pedals have given in it.
The dual-tone theme with ruby red metallic inserts has introduced on the center console and front door handles. It gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and a new digital instrument console. Along with this, the SUV gets many features like Monte Carlo written scuff plates on the front doors, a Skoda sound system with 8 speakers and subwoofer, a panoramic sunroof.
Engine and gearbox.
The SUV is available with two engine options – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TSI engine. The 1.0-litre engine produces 114bhp and 178Nm. While the 1.5-litre engine generates 148bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic (1.0-litre TSI) and 7-speed DSG (1.5-litre TSI).
